Proverbs 3:13–35
A Question to Reflect On
"What if they think you are chasing...
Is he already chasing you?"
The Blessing of Wisdom
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom.
Because it's worth more than money.
Silver can run out.
Gold can disappear.
But wisdom gives life that lasts.
What Wisdom Gives
She offers long life in one hand—
And honour and peace in the other.
Her paths are peaceful.
Not rushed.
Not anxious.
Not Empty.
Wisdom and God’s Creation
By Wisdom, God laid the
foundation of the earth.
So why trust lesser voices with your life?
The Protection of Wisdom
Don't let wisdom leave your sight.
She'll guard you while you sleep.
You won't fear sudden trouble.
Because when the lord is in confidence,
Nothing can shake you.
A Call to Choose Wisely
Don't envy the proud or the violent.
- Choose Wisdom
- Choose peace
The Importance of Wisdom for Life
Dear friends, the most important thing for survival in this world is wisdom.
The Bible teaches us that Solomon asked God for wisdom.
Solomon’s Prayer for Wisdom
1 Kings 3:9–13
9. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who can judge this thy so great a people?
10. And the speech pleased the lord that Solomon had asked these things.
11. And god said unto him, because thou hast asked these things, and hast not asked for thyself long life: neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
12. Behold, I have done according to thy words; lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee all thy days.
Why Solomon Chose Wisdom
Everyone wants to achieve everything in life, but no one knows how to achieve it.
Therefore, Solomon chose wisdom because anyone who possesses this gift never dies in the blink of an eye.
That person will never be defeated in life.
God will provide them with sound advice along every path.
Drawing Closer to God
To do this, we must pray more and draw closer to God, because only God will give us wisdom.
He is our best counsellor.
The closer we draw to the Lord,
the closer He will draw to us.
Understanding God’s Plan
Dear friends, God has a different plan for the life of every Christian person.
To recognise that plan, we need to listen and understand God and not ourselves.
Every person has a different situation in life,
and God has set a time for us to overcome each situation.
Do not do any work in haste.
First, understand the situation, then pray and fast.
God’s Promise to Answer
Jeremiah 33:3
In the Bible, in Jeremiah 33:3, the Lord has said,
Pray to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and difficult things which you do not understand now.
Walking in Purpose
Then the Lord will show you your purpose in your church, pastorate, or dreams,
And you will find it easier to move forward.
I hope you will learn from this verse,
so please share it, especially with your weak ones.
God bless you.
Amen.
Conclusion
Wisdom is not something temporary or worldly; it is a divine gift that guides, protects, and sustains life. Through Proverbs and the example of Solomon, we are reminded that true success does not come from wealth, power, or haste, but from seeking God with a humble heart. When we choose wisdom, we choose peace, clarity, and purpose. By drawing closer to God through prayer, patience, and obedience, He reveals His plan for our lives at the right time. May we learn to trust His counsel above all else and walk confidently in the wisdom He freely gives.
